AGES 5-12
SDG 6 is one of the United Nations’ goals to make sure everyone has access to clean water and good sanitation. This targets:
Your challenge is to design a tool or machine that can clean dirty water!
Imagine you have a magical machine that could make dirty puddles or polluted rivers safe to drink – how would you design it?
Many places around the world don’t clean water to drink. Dirty water can make people and animals sick. For example, in some parts of the world, kids might have to search hard to find clean water. We want your help to find new ways to help everyone get the clean water they need.
“Water is our planet’s most precious resource. The preservation and provision of clean water is crucial for our future. We hope the Aramco Clean Water Challenge will ignite and inspire young minds to create innovative solutions, and we invite the next generation of sustainability champions to help us create a more sustainable future. Aramco recognizes the importance of implementing sustainable water management across its operations in Saudi Arabia and abroad. To contribute to the preservation of freshwater resources, we are pursuing investments in alternatives to groundwater extraction, including the use of seawater, treated sewage effluents, and recycled wastewater.”
