Challenge Overview
Did you know...?
Saving even a little bit of money every week can grow into a big pile over time! Learning about money now helps you make smart choices for the future.

1
Even small coins add up to toys, games, or something you’ve been dreaming of.
2
Having some money saved can help when unexpected things happen, like needing a new school supply or replacing a lost item.
3
Understanding money lets you help family, friends, or your community.
4
Learning how to save and spend wisely makes it easier to reach your goals.
Your Challenge:
Design a fun tool or idea that helps kids in your community learn how to save money or start a small business!
Imagine you have a magical tool that could help kids in your community learn how to save money or start their own business in a fun and exciting way. What would your tool look like? How would it work?

Who is having a problem?
Think about kids who want to buy a new toy or a cool game, but they don’t know how to save their allowance to buy it.
What problem are they having?
Saving Money: Maybe they don’t know how to decide what to spend their money on, so they end up buying small things instead of saving up for something big, like a new bike.
Starting a Business: Some kids might have ideas for things to sell, like homemade bracelets or lemonade, but they don’t know how to turn those ideas into real businesses.
How can you help?
Saving Money: You could create a piggy bank that tells them how much money they need to save to reach a goal, like buying a new video game.
Starting a Business: You could help them make their own “lemonade stand kit” with all the supplies they need, like a sign, cups, and a way to track how much money they make.
How do you know it will work?
Saving Money: If the kid can save their allowance in their piggy bank and reach the goal to buy their toy or game, that means the idea is working.
Starting a Business: If kids are selling lemonade at their stand and making some money, or if they sell something they made (like bracelets) to their friends, that shows their business idea is working.
