EY Inclusive AI Challenge - 2023

The Challenge: Design a solution to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and entrepreneurship to create sustainable, inclusive and peaceful communities.

Winners

  • First Place: THRAIVE, a free, AI-powered forum connecting individuals facing physical or mental challenges with solutions from research studies, medical professionals, and others who have gone through similar experiences. Submitted by Jaden Shah (16) from Brophy College Preparatory in Arizona, USA. See their video here.
  • Second Place: CapyChat, an AI tool, transforms communication for children with speech challenges, promoting inclusivity and community engagement. Submitted by Allison Huang (16) and Ryan Huang (19) from Mercer Island High School and Columbia University in Washington, USA and New York, USA respectively. See their video here.
  • Third Place: OrganTrack, spearheads an unprecedented global movement to eradicate barriers in organ allocation, maximizing transplant opportunities that have the power to change the lives of millions in dire need. Submitted by Anirudh Mazumder (16) and Aditya Nallaparaju (16) from Texas Academy of Mathematics & Science in Texas, USA. See their video here.

  • DiversiLearn, an AI-driven adaptive learning platform designed to personalize learning for neurodivergent learners, making education more accessible. Submitted by a team from New Jersey, United States. See their video here.
  • GunWatch, applies artificial intelligence to social media platforms in order to predict, map, and prevent emerging gun violence threats with precision policing assisted by community partners. Submitted by a team from Texas, United States. See their video here.
  • InclusifyIQ, a data-driven AI-based platform for DEI management in organizations, fostering inclusive environments. Submitted by a team from California, United States. See their video here.
  • Inkwell ASL, hopes to inspire a new generation of ASL learners, one that has more accessibility to sign language, one that is open to communicating in ASL, and one that will no longer neglect an important issue that many people in this world face.   • LingoGate Innovations, an AI-driven educational platform that offers culturally nuanced translations and adaptive learning tools, enhancing accessibility and engagement for non-native English speakers. Submitted by a team from Illinois, United States. See their video here.
  • Sixth Sense, a wearable haptic device that bridges communication between referees and athletes with hearing impairments. Submitted by a team from Greece. See their video here.
