The Challenge: Design a solution to promote high-quality access to physical and/or mental well-being in your community.

  • Teenage Handbook (California, USA), THB, an online competition that encourages teens to digitally journal, accumulates a digital collection of artistic creations by teens, for teens, on teen issues
  • AneurAID (Ohio, USA), AneurAID, a cheaper dynamic intrasaccular biodegradable polymer system crossing treatment with community accessibility while ensuring the well-being of aneurysm patients.
  • WoundCorder (California, USA), WoundCorder is a smartphone app that uses LIDAR technology and advanced algorithms to provide affordable, accurate, and accessible 3D wound volume measurement for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Care Room (California, USA), Care Room is a multifaceted app that fosters emotional support, community, and personal growth for young cancer patients through meaningful connections, AI-powered guidance, and engaging educational resources.
  • ASPT: Accelerated Skin Prick Test (India), aSPT: An accessible, cost-effective, and accelerated diagnostic test of allergies that incorporates image recognition AI and minimally-invasive cost engineering to be both safely and accurately administered anywhere.
  • Shower Saver (California, USA), Shower Saver, is a voice-control shower accessory that empowers elderly, disabled, and mobility-impaired individuals to control their shower independently, enhancing safety, comfort, and accessibility while promoting personal dignity and autonomy.
  • The MoodCube (California, USA), MoodCube, is an interactive sensory device that uses lights, music, and touch to help children with autism recognize and express their emotions.
  • Smart Crutch (Taiwan), A smart crutch complete with built-in customized plans for recovery and improvement with all information accessible through a mobile application.
